Flower Arranging
The altar flowers at St Mary's are placed there by volunteers on a rota basis.
If you would be willing to take a turn - just once a year - please could you
sign the sheet on the notice board at the back of the Church for any date when
there is a space. There are explanatory notes in the adjacent folder.
Please do not feel you have to spend a lot of money on the flowers (garden flowers in season are particularly appealing and don't overlook the beauty of foliage). If you are thinking of buying, check the special offers at Waitrose or visit the Flower Loft at Ladd's Garden Centre (you will be given a discount if you mention that you are doing the flowers at St. Mary's)
If
you would like to help decorate the Church for special events, eg Christmas, Easter, Flower Festival or , Harvest.you
would be most welcome to join the team in whatever capacity you choose. Just
give me a call and I can tell you the date and time we will be going to do the
flowers.
The team have a brief annual meeting in the autumn which will be
publicised in the Service Sheet to which anyone who might be interested is
very, very welcome. A one hour meeting to discuss any issues concerning
the altar flower rota; Christmas, Easter and Harvest; Wargrave Village Festival
arrangements and any other business.
Please
come along, or if you can't make the date, but would like any matters discussed
let me know.
If you would just like to have a chat about possibly
helping, please do give me a call - I would love to hear from you.
